But failed. Resuscitated against his will, is brought back into the realm of the living wake. Now, bearing seal that tried to kill himself for a grace period, he patrols the earthly border between heaven and hell, hoping in vain to earn the right of redemption by sending them the infantry devil back into the depths. But Constantine is no saint. Disappointed by the world around him and at war with the world beyond, is a drinker, coarse hero who hates the very idea of heroism. Constantine will fight to save his soul but does not want to gain the admiration and gratitude - and certainly not sympathy.
