People become slaves, forced to work, forced to live in squalid conditions, blamed and unsupported jointly by South African population, aliens are frequent victims of abuse and racism. When government agent Wikus is sent within District 9 to do an investigation and find alien coming to Earth and nature of weapons they use them is infected by alien biotechnology. Seeing the plight of refugee aliens, Wikus people decide to fight their oppressors in the name.
